Tapestry by our students with the help of Victoria Sowers, a visiting artist.
Artist, Victoria Sowers, was our resident artist in November. She brought with her a 250 year old loom and the children took turns weaving their items into the tapestry shown below. Since 1998, Victoria has been known professionally as Sandy Creek Weavers. On historic utilitarian looms she creates contemporary works of art. Her specialty are rugs, tapestries, wall hangings and memorial weavings. Her work can be found from New York to Florida in homes, galleries, banks and even a congressional office. If you are interested in one of her tapestries or would like to book her for your school, just click on the button below.
